Every now and then I have an epiphany that makes me remember why I love America.  Today, as I was making lunch, was one of those days.  I reached into my cupboard for bread and pulled out one of those suckers above-a Thomas Squares Bagelbread.  Never before in the history of humanity has a consumer product been better at solving a problem I never knew I had.

Who knows how much meat I used to waste trying to fit square slices onto a round bagel?  Never again will I suffer through trying to fish a bagel out of the toaster with a fork only to have it roll about because its round edges don’t create friction against the edge of the toaster.

I love how this country manages to find solutions to problems that I didn’t even know existed.  I’ll be sleeping easier tonight knowing that there are people out there looking for the next square bagel.
