Visual Learning

 

About a year ago, Business 2.0 had an article on how Netflix’s envelope has evolved over the years.  It was a great article as you could actually see how they were learning more about their consumers and changing their processes worked.


Unfortunately, the online article didn’t have any photos of the envelopes (which is really the most important part...).  However, I found a scan of the article; here it is.


Incidentally, I also heard a story about how technically sophisticated NetFlix is.  Apparently if you return a scratched DVD they have a system that simultaneously destroys it and burns a new one from an original archive provided by the major studios.  All instantaneous with no need to send bills, etc. to one another.
