I’ve been thinking of buying a desk or table by Material Furniture, a line of flat packable furniture by Portland-based Christopher Douglas.  He was inspired by the fact that he kept moving apartments and they seemed to constantly get smaller (sounds familiar).

I recently saw his KDDO (short for “knock down, drag out”) table at the Cooper Hewitt’s Design Triennal.  I went online to do some research into his work and after seeing that image above (it’s the splash page for his website), I think I’m sold.
