What a week!
What a week!
Wendy
claims that she doesn’t get enough airplay in my nerd blog, so here’s a
shot of her at the end of her last whirlwind visit. She came over
for the INSEAD summer ball and then we went traipsing off to Provins (a
beautiful medieval town), Paris and Stockholm. My parents also
made a guest appearance and all of us spent the day in Moret sur Loing
and Barbizon. Oh yeah, and I still managed to make it to class in
my spare time.
I’ve put photos up here. Highlights were (other than having the pleasure of Wendy for a week and seeing the folks):
1)
The ball. It was at the Chateau Courances and was the most
beautiful location I’ve ever been to for a party. Unfortunately
they ran out of booze so we had a grand total of 3 drinks and no food
over the entire night
2)
Stockholm. Ran the marathon in 3:46, just missing my target time
of 3:45-because I’ve never felt such pain in my legs before in my
life. I thought I was going to die. Fortunately, the
recovery wasn’t too bad and we had a great Sunday exploring the old
town and a couple of cool art galleries
3) Discovering that Steven Seagal has a band (check the photos). Bad taste now officially knows no limits. Honestly, I’m not making this up.
