Yesterday a group of small-r republicans gathered in Seattle and elsewhere under the banner of peasants for regicide. It was a truly motley crew that would probably never find themselves in the same room together but in 2025 will eagerly spend an afternoon meeting up in the park and going for a walk.
Due process enthusiasts. Jews for peace. Palestinian self-determinists. Trade unionists and socialists. Antifa sympathistizers. Social justice warriors crusading for trans rights, abortion rights and BLM. Oligarchy skeptics. Patriarchy disavoers. Librarians who can't stand to watch what's going on. Immigration afficionados. Senior citizens whose parents fought in World War II and haven't forgot what a fascist looks like. Everyday folk who care about decency and want their voice heard.
This manifested itself in the riotous and creative signs held by the protesters.
